Learnt

My body doesn't react well to cutting in high carbs for show prep. This caused me to f*ck myself over at nationals and not place anywhere near first. I also learnt that my body grows much better from volume than anything else.

Also, something that I've always known but it took a few experiences to remind me, happiness and positivity is a choice. The only reason we get upset about things is because we choose to have that attitude, but I've recently started getting back to the old me and saying "Eat a dick" to all the bullshit.

 

Achieved

When it comes to my main goal of winning nationals, I failed fucking miserable. I didn't do anywhere near as well as I had hoped and I should have placed better, however I did gain a lot of mass and managed to make my chest grow (re volume).

I guess learnt and achieved are very similar haha but I achieved very recently the ability to get down a lot more food which has, is and will contribute to much better growth for the coming time!

 

THIS year

I'm taking this year off. Coming fifth at nationals was a fucking shit feeling. One that I don't want to feel ever again. I'm taking that to fuel my fire and come back in 2015 and try to dominate NZ and gain a pro card at 21.

I'm potentially going to compete in powerlifting competition competitions this year but bodybuilding is still my priority!

My major goal for this year is to add 5kg of muscle so should hopefully be around 85 or so kg at the end of the year. I'm 5'3" so 85 is an ok weight haha.
