Everytime I view a topic I have to press the back button on my browser 3x to get back to where I was. Only happens on this site and has only started in the last week or so. Anyone else getting this?

That's a bit odd. I can't think of any reason why that should be, but I'm happy to ask our web guys.

What browser are you using, Holdenman? I can't make it do it for me.

What browser you using?

Was able to reproduce the problem with Google Chrome in normal and Incognito Mode (Chrome V 31.0.1650.57 m).

Before I cleared the cache and all everything still worked normally. You can only reproduce this by clearing your browser cache/cookies which indicates maybe there has been some changes with cookies/client side js recently?

 

1. Clear all chrome cache/cookies
2. Go to www.GymNation.co.nz
3. Enter log in details on front page and click log in
4. Choose a topic from the front page, click on it's title to be forwarded to that page
5. Click back, still on the page. Same thing twice until it goes to home page.
6. Go to new tab, type in 'Gymnation.co.nz' , click on any topic again and same problem still going on

 

That's the popup window which shows when you right click the browser back button.

OK, it seems to be a Chrome thing. I can replicate the issue in Chrome, but not in Firefox (even after clearing cookies).

Thank you guys - don't know why that should have occurred, but I have passed it on to the developers.

 

BTW - we're just working on a new Training Forums slider, and a few other changes (like quick links to a topic's first unread post) that will hopefully make browsing Gymnation a bit easier. Coming very soon, hopefully.

What's going on with this? I really can't stand using this site at the moment.

I can't log on into my account on my phone. Once I got to login it doesn't register that I'm login in and asks me to login again.

i use chrome and site goes good now. on my phone (android 4.1 or 4.2 using chrome browser) i had same issue as you jimmybro but it stopped loggoing me out a few months ago

Sorry mate, I thought this had been fixed. This is apparently a known problem with Chrome that does affect other sites too, but regardless - we need to find a workaround for it. The developers say they're looking at it.

Thanks Jimmy. I'll pass that on too. We can't expect everyone to change their browser for us.
