Whey 3 times a day?

bit of  noob question but i was wondering if taking whey 3 times a day is alright?

Because i dont eat breakfast (being a student having to catch the bus i dont really have time to eat) i was wondering if i could just have whey instead just to get something in me.

so one for breakfast, one before gym and one after gym. oh and im getting balance 100% wpc/wpi.

so some thoughts about this would really be appreciated.

Thanks in advance. :)

Get up earlier and eat breakfast. Add some oats banana to shake blend n drink.

Whole food better than shake, but dont see any harm in having multiple shakes make sure getting micro nutrients as well.

x 2

One thing you might want to consider is consistency. If you want to improove your physical apparence or strenght, you will need to be fairly consistent in your eating, training and recovery habits.

It doesn't take a lot of time to prep your food for the next day (including your breakfast) and  I think it could be a good investment of your time in order to get what you are seeking. Get a blender if you dont have one, throw some bananas, oats cottage cheese and a few scoops of whey, some milk,  +/- splenda into it and blend it up. Pour into a plastic shaker bottle or something similar... drink it on the bus. Just my opinion ... good luck.

It doesn't really matter how many shakes you are taking in a day, as long as you are hitting your Protein Macro needs for the day.

One of the first things you should learn about while lifiting is food and nutriton.. Personally I Take in 3 a day that's because its such a rich source in Protein which allows me to hit my P requirements.

hey welcome to gymnation

it's fine to help you reach your daily protein targets. each serving has about 20g protein in it from most brands so your 3 a day gets you 60g protein total.. just remember its no substitute for real food. you still need to reach your carb and fat goals. getting breakfast doesn't take that long anyway. we have all been students before lol you do have time to eat unless you're being a lazy bugger who wakes up 10mins before the bus leaves. sort your shit out early on in your training bro of course missing breakfast isn't gonna mess you up but if you're being lazy and taking shortcuts right from the start of your day you'll find that shit creeps up on you in the rest of your life too.

you could prep things the night before, easy as stacking some peanut butter/jam on some bread and wrapping it up, put in fridge (takes like 5mins max) or you could go a little further do up a nice sandwhich with eggs/chicken/cheese/mayo/whatever veges you got. still do the shakes if you need at the end of the day nothing wrong or unhealthy about it but you might find that when you imrprove your eating habbits you will meet your macros as a whole (and not just protein macro itself) each and every day allowing you to keep making your progress in the gym

doesn't even take that long to eat but who knows maybe shit gets real hectic at your house in the morning if really pressed for time try sneaking your first meal on the bus.

WPI/WPC powders are just protein it won't give you energy like carbs don't need to spread it out (especially pre and post workout)  just take it all at once for your macros after workout maybe. for your pre workout try getting some carbs in (sandwhich, weetbix, museli bar or banana) and see the difference on your workout.

I'm a student too, so I know what you mean kinda lol.

For breakfast i'd suggest you make a mass shake like me if your bulking :P It takes like 2mins to make, and 2mins to drink! Taste great too :D

Chuck this all in a blender and leave for like 40sec depending on how powerful it is lol:

300-350ml milk, 3/4 cup oats, 1 bannana, 2scoops whey, and some people also add like peanut butter :P

ALSO: On Oats you just buy rolled oats and chuck em in raw no need 2 cook. Also yeah those goodies like fish, chicken, eggs, other meats.

A little on/off topic here but what do you guys recommend as a whey protien powder for older/elderly persons who are fit etc but need a protien boost since they can't eat a lot of meats. Would just the usual balance or infinite labs standard whey protien powders suffice?

Complete protein is complete protein.

Pick something yummo to make sure it's happening.  Or unflavoured and add a little of whatever the person is into (ummm not meaning sherry there).

what's the reason you limit your meat intake monkey, does it have something to do with kidneys or digestive system? has doctor said anything about the topic?

Not me, but elderly friend...kinda embarassing for him but he can't chew meat due to dentures so I thought, hey what about the protein shakes I have working out, he could take them too I suppose hence my enquiry.

Me on the other hand loves meat, and of course bananas being a monkey. currently loving the muscle fuel ,axi meals, the meat they use is so good.
