Supplementing BCAA's while Cutting

Hey Guys,

What your thoughts/experience with supplementing BCCA'S intra-workout while cutting? I'm starting to get rather lean I would say just under 10%; As my calories are decreasing quite a bit to continue to loose body fat i am worried that I will start to loose muscle mass. I've read some articles and watched some youtube videos and BCCA's seem to be highly recommended when reaching a low level body fat to maintain muscle mass.

What are some of you seniors/people that have reached a very low bf opinions?

I would say that if your Protein is high enough you shouldn't need them.. However I Drink Xtend during and after workouts religiously for a couple of reasons

A) I love the taste and helps me put away a load of water as i mix it up Weak (1 scoop) in 1.5L Bottles.

B) The same reason I take a Multi, that fail safe insurance sort of reasoning Just incase I am missing something in my diet.

C) I do find i get better endurance and recovery from it so I can push slightly longer and harder than i would. Weather or not this is a placebo effect or not I don't know and quite frankly I don't really care (because i just smashed a better workout than I would have without it)

D) Its Part of the process of just having somthing other than water to drink, that adds to the whole event that is going to the gym (if that make sense..)

Hope that helps

Some good input thanks; I think it would allow me to smash more water while cutting which could help in the long run. Any reason why you pick Xtend other other brands?

Flavour,  2:1:1 Ratio Has been around the Longest and Stood the test of time, I have tried some of the Newer 8:11, 12:1:1  and didn't seem to get anything more from them. I like the Addition of Citrulline Malate too. To compare I have tried Amino-1 (MusclePharm), Amino-x  (BSN), AminoBol (Bsc) But always find my way back to Xtend because its delicious

Decided to invest in some today; Ended up getting Axis Labs NGage over Xtend as I read over some good reviews on the product on BB.com; The brand still has the 2:1:1 ratio.

Will monitor and post my progress/review the supplement and keep others updated on this thread :)

Been taking Axis for a while now; Taste is quite strong (taking the punch flavour) have opted for half a scoop in the mornings and half a scoop intra-workout while training in the evenings.

Have noted that I seem to be a lot less sore now than previously days after workouts where I was not supplementing. Would recommend it for anyone that is cutting/in a calorie deficit!
