Giant Sports Delicious Protein

Hey everyone.

I have read quite a bit of hype overseas on Giant sports delicious protein which is sold in most major supplement store in n.z,including the greatest NZ Muscle:p.

Wheydeals.co.nz has it for $139 for a 10lb and it looks great and the reviews on bodybuilding.com are great, but sometimes I don't trust those reviews.

So who's tried It and what did you think?

27g protein per serve, have tryed about 3 diff flavours in samples, tastes good. You couldnt go too far wrong for that price!

I have the vanilla one. It is good in my books.

It's very good in terms of quality but I had choc peanut at the expo I think and it was horrible tasting. I don't think it mixes that well with water.

Yeah used to love my combat protein,but recently got choc pb and was not nice,taste is pretty subjective though I suppose. If giant sports protein doesn't mix well with water then that sux, as apart from post workout I have my shakes with milk,so I guess with milk it will be even worse to mix, as combat mixes well with water but even after shaking for 20 seconds there's still clumps with milk.

Hey mate, yea taste comes down to the individual. I have found combat to be very good and Syntha 6 is very good tasting too.

Trying the Giant vanilla at the mo and I dont think it tastes as good as a lot of people say.For my tastes Syntrax vanilla is the best tasteing one out there.It has flecs of vanilla bean and is realy nice.

Not a fan, extremely sweet/chemically favor and has added taurine....

That's one of the problems I find with a lot of American protein brands - they seem to like the sickly sweet.

Couldn't agree more; I'm more of a Nutratech fan; Cheap and NZ made

Yeah I like their stuff.  A 'light' flavour you might say.

 

I tend to have 55g of powder in 300ml of milk so a hard out flavour gets sickening pretty fast.

that's strange just noticed it has 'cholesterol' on the label. hdl, ldl? is it something you'd find in all whey or just in some blends like this one? haven't noticed it before, good price though be sure to give us your review when you got it.

$79 awesome deal. Have tryed the peanut butter and milk choc. Both taste great imo, quite sweet, but I am a sweet tooth. Plus can always add more water to weaken it up! Will deff be buying a tub at that price

It's just the labelling requirements in the US.  We don't have to bother here, and I think Oz is the same as us.

Pretty much always vanilla, irrespective of manufacturer.  So much better for combining with other foods and master-cheffing them baked goods!
