Damn OH, that's an awesome change! As you mentioned re-composition, what is the weight difference between the pictures? Also great work FOTR, some solid lean gains there Good

Thanks Phed!

Started out 80 @ about 17% ended up 77.5 - 78 at about 9%ish by the end of it.

That's doing it right! Planning to do something similar myself after Commonwealths, time to shed a little pudge and become more athletic again (yay, sprints Bad)

Cheers Phed! Yep I know that feel. Fat doesn't contribute to your total either. Plus if you always hower at the top of your weightclass you always have to worry aboutmaking weight etc instead of being able to eat and eat and eat the last few days prior to comp. I be keen to see how you get on if you log it :)

Cheers Stussy. There's some great transformations in this thread already. Cleo got pretty shredded, Ron made some solid gains and OH pulled off a successful recomposition and it was good to see how he did it by following his log. Looking forward to more transformations being posted.

IFBB usually hold the same competitions every year. I'm guessing you're in Auckland if you met Chhour. There's a show in March in Auckland, then Auckland champs in August, then Nationals in October.

NZIFBB do have a website www.nzifbb.co.nz but it's pretty shithouse lol. They do update their FB page closer to comp time though. You just enter (register) on the night before the show so there's no need to enter in advance. You have to pay a membership fee of $45 for the year then $25 for each division you enter at each comp. Loads of helpful people around that have competed, I'm sure a lot of people will help you out if you just ask. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

So here's my after photos (Sorry about the posing; I really need to practice!); Went from 89kg to 81kg. I'm 6ft 1 and 82kg; I feel so skinny now :(

It would be great if you guys could answer the below question about me now seeing my after photos:

- What do you predict my current BF% to be?

- What do you think I should aim to do? Continue shredding (Want to get lean for summer, honest I swearI don't have abbs, any tips for getting them out? I sware i must be pretty low in BF and the lower abbs still don't seem to be showing!). Or should I get back on the bulk and look at putting some size on? (I'm 6ft 1 and 81kg in the after photo's; Feel so skinny :()

Anyway look forward to hearing some of your guys inputs :)

Cheers Stussy :)

Lol at befores. Pls don't judge me I was studying 10 hours a day + injuries!

I love this part of the competition. Some amazing transformations here - so cool!

I aimed for body re-composition.

And you well and truly achieved it, OH! I think you should enter some of the other categories, too. Definitely Aesthetic Best Overall, and maybe even Bodybuilding if you can take some more photos.

but how do i get into competing is there a website for dates and stuff, thanks for the motivation man never thought i would even be thinking about competing

In theory, our Competition Calendar here should have all the events from all the different federations. But there's only old events in it now, and I haven't had a chance to chase the event organisers to get the details for new ones.

Most of the federations don't finalise their calendars until later on anyway. I just did a quick check - NZIFBB and NABBA don't appear to have published anything yet, and NABBA-WFF have a 2014 calendar, but be aware that this far out, it's quite likely to change.

Stick around and ask lots of questions, bro. We've got a heap of veteran competitors here who are usually happy to help.

Opti - good stuff, mate. Thanks for the sign, too - I will definitely draw that to Horleys' attention!

Peter - that's an impressive cut, bro. Your face has changed completely! :D

Stussy - you're a hard one to estimate, but I'd guess 9-10% BF. Looking at your side chest poses, you've definitely put on size too. Re the abs - that's probably worth a full discussion in itself, so maybe post your questions a new topic.

Dinah - bloody hell, that's a huge change! That can't be just a 2kg difference - surely that's a typo?!
