Bodybuilding: Most Improved
This category is not looking for the biggest and leanest bodybuilder, but instead the contestant who makes the biggest advances. That might mean gaining muscle, or it might mean losing fat.

The winner of this category takes home a year’s supply of Horleys protein powder! Plus there's a runner-up prize courtesy of NZ Muscle, and just by entering you'll go in the draw to win one of 20 Fitwear vouchers worth $100.

 

How to enter this category:

  • You need to take two or more sets of photos (Before and After sets) during this challenge.
  • Each photo set must contain the following poses:
    • a Front Double Bicep pose,
    • a Back Double Bicep pose,
    • two different poses of your choice, and
    • a relaxed pose showing you holding a sign with “GYMNATION, {your username}, {current date}” clearly written on it.
  • Before and After sets must both have the same poses, taken from as close to the same angle as possible.
  • All photos must be full-body shots from head to toe. (Faces can be blocked out if you wish).
  • Shorts should be rolled up to show quads/hams.
  • Photos may be taken under indoor lighting or sunlight, but on-stage competition photos are not allowed.
  • You may post your photos at any time throughout the competition, but the earlier you post your Before set, the more time you have to get advice from people and make improvements.
  • You must have posted both sets of photos by 10pm, Sunday 1st December.
  • This category is open to both men and women. The winners will be decided by a poll of Gymnation members in the week following the competition.

dam gna b embarassing posting legs hopefully the after piks gona be better lol

i mainly need to work on my chicken 13.9" calfs as i havent trained them much this year lol

and also need to work on the cellulited hamstrings  i know that losing bodyfat frm 14% to abt 7% and gaining leg muscle is the best way.. but hav to be to the extreme to hide its visibility enuf :/

Leeroid - looking good already. What's your plan to improve on this by Dec 1st?

Poopsie - your photos are fine. You've got a good base, bro. I can't wait to see your After set. In your Side Chest pose, just try to keep your waist side-on to the camera, and only twist the top half of your torso around. That'll give you more of a V-taper. Or was that a cunning plan to make your Afters look more impressive?!

Rapz - I've got no advice for you, bro. You're going to scare small children when you cut up. :D

lol my posing needs work, i just try and copy what i see on youtube etc.  my side chest looks awkward i tried sitting on my hammy a bit more and ended up looking retarded and my gut sticks out *blush*   good to see more and more entries should be epic!

u guys are looking lean and good! i hope my fat before photos will be enuf for this challenge *smile* i dont reali kno how to pose, is mine okay? im aiming to cut down from 25% body fat to atleast 15-17% and also gain some muscle. Gudluck guys! Train hard.

awesome we are getting more new members now! welcome pauly and johny those poses are fine for before photos. if you keep practicing them from now until the end you can make the final product that much more impressive by december (and its fair since posing is also an important skill in bodybuilding which is built up over time)

Haha I don't know really. Might just get fatter lol and say I put on size.

Good luck with nationals in the weekend.

See how we go - 7kg drop is a must heading into Deadlift Nationals - will be good to hold there until mid January as I will start conditioning for the stage from then.  You coming up to Nats for a look?

I'm working that day unfortunately will be at the November competition hopefully numbers have reasonably increased by then !

faaarrk iv got fat lol, 103 here,pr bf, having a break from powerlifting stuff to heal injurys, and freshen up, so decided to get back in half decent shape as iv really let go this year *dash1*, 

pls add sun glasses as im one pasty ranga, time to get jackd + tanned yeoooooow
