Anavar side effects

So i managed to source some anavar and at first i was sceptical about the quality of it as i got it very cheap from through a family friend. However i have been on the var for 2 weeks at 90/60/90/60mg per day (30mg caps) so decided to get bloods done through an endo and the results surprised me. My testosterone was very low (not surprising), my liver enzymes were perfect, Total chol was slightly down (could have been oatmeal), and kidney bloods were high. My Endocrinologist knows i have used in the past, and it didn't take him long to figure out i was using again.

So my question is were the above side effects (mainly kidney bloods) caused by the var? Wasn't taking anything else at the time, no alcohol, no OTC, nothing that would effect the kidneys, hell even my sodium intake is low.

Regardless of the answer (would be keen to know though) my endocrinologist ask me to stop using and i agreed so now i have 65 30mg caps =(

What a waste.

What Kidney functions were high? Assuming Urea & Creatinine I think you should read the thread on this forum  on Kidney function in athletes (or just google), as high protein diet pushes Urea up out of norm reference and higher than norm muscle mass means your Creatinine levels are likely to be high. You can confirm whether kidneys are functioning by taking a urine test to detect if any proteins (albumin & micro-albumin) are passing through your kidneys - though this isn't always definitive as this can occur under extreme exercise (exercise induced proteinuria).

I don't know as much about AAS as many here but according to most text Anavar is a pretty safe and relatively non-toxic compound. If your blood pressure is okay I'd suggest the urine test before jumping to conclusions.

Just my 10 cents - not a nephrologist or even a GP - so check with yours! *biggrin*

  • 4 months later...

Thought I'd bump this instead of starting a fresh one;

So have been using some anavar caps 20mg I got from a friend, was on those particular ones for 18? days at 100mg a day and pretty much didn't notice anything at all - not specifically talking side effects alone. The other day my new lot arrived pill form 50mg each ( won't brand name drop ) and have been on them 3 days and already noticed lack of appetite which is fantastic since I'm "cutting" for another 3 or so weeks. Other thing I noticed is last 2 days it feels like my mid section is almost tensed at all times, like not me tensing my abs but a tight self-tense kind of feeling. I read that it ( anavar ) can target mid section fat and tighten the area as well as harden/vascular look in general. Has anyone else that's used it had this feeling and can confirm?
