Been a while Laura - still baking up a storm?

Try http://www.no1fitness.co.nz - some cheap deals and good enough for the average home gym user, though if any real strong peeps going to be using your equipment you'd need to spend more on bars (elieko / evanko etc).. Good service - I've bought bumper plates there before.

Thanks Nate... my husband lifts but like 240 for deadlifts... that kind of range would be the most it will ever see all bars should be fine with that right? Haha yup still baking... desperate to get back into lifting asap!!! Been to London and back and made 2 babies hah!

You might be surprised, I think a couple of bars hanging up at The Powerhouse have been bent at a weight where the bars were supposedly rated to something much higher?  (OB can confirm).

My Dad has a bar that is rated to 200kg at his home gym,  he doesn't go above that (near to, though), but I'm not sure it would take much more.  I think that was from Number 1 Fitness (or something like that).

Ask the place you buy from about the load it is rated to, and if it comes with a warranty of some sort?  You shouldn't need to splash a tonne of cash on anything flash like Eleiko (unintenionally rhyming here), but it would suck to buy one that bent without much of a beating.

FWIW, the Industrial Athletic stuff seems to take a bit of punishment, and Get Strength could be worth a look (Old Bull just bought a couple of their 300kg-rated bars for the Powerhouse which are great) - I have no idea on price at either place though sorry!

Nate is right on the rack pulls, they're a bar graveyard!
