Assuming you have no choice about when you are going off (not an advocate of being in recovery while on vacation) generally diet is the biggest factor that lets people down. If you can take some protein powder with you or buy some this for me, is the easiest method to keep your macros in the green.

I declare a couple of kgs worth in gladbags and I've never had a problem with customs, I also mix in 50g of creatine per 1kg of whey. Giving me 2.5g a 50g serving. Takes me about 30minutes but I think it's worth it. Generally when I'm traveling I don't have a lot of red meat and I'm hypothisizing my creatine levels depleate a bit.

as with any travel just making sure you are well hydrated is key and having the necessary medication in case something happens like food posining. Finally a multivitamin, ideally with some digestion aid.

As for training I find it's easier to boost intensity with volume and frequency when away. You might not have great access to facilities but you usually have time each day you can train and it's also a great opportunitiy to try some different things. Think the most fun I had vaction training was GVT weighted pushups in a hostel on Koh San Road a life time ago, with some cute Japanese resistance .
