Good Luck to Brett Gibbs for the IPF Junior World Champs!

Just a post to let people know Brett Gibbs from Wairarapa/Central Districts is representing NZ at the IPF Equipped World Sub Junior + Junior Championships in Killeen, Texas on Friday.  Brett competes in the 83kg Junior class, and is a very strong medal chance! *dirol*

Goodlift is streaming the event live each day, and Brett's class starts at 11am on Friday, NZ time.  You can follow the action from http://goodlift.info/live.php.

I think the IPF releases a highlights package of each day, but I'm not sure there is any archive footage as such.  I'm sure Brett will have video of his lifts following the comp though, so I'll be sure to share that when it rolls around! *good*

Think that's less than his PBs and what he usually does - some chat on fb about judging etc - not sure if he would have got gold if had been judged differently or would still be same place - but all the same - awesome result!

He did awesomely, so close to the gold but second in the world is nothing to sneeze at!  Also the second-highest wilks total ever by a New Zealander with 557.5!  Crazy *wacko*
