Honey

Early today while I was looking at the form on BB.com and RX muscle I notice that a few members on there use honey which made me think I might use honey while I am bulking during the off season.I would be keen to hear your thoughts on the use of honey while bulking.

Is canned pineapple trendy now? Fantastic! I must be so cool now!

Cottage cheese + vanilla whey protein + pineapple = Awesomeness. It tastes like the traditional cheesecake.

As for the honey... I like manuka honey, although I can only afford the cheap stuff. Man, some of those brands are ridiculously expensive!

And, apparently, some of our manuka honey may not actually be manuka?

Honey naturally contains high levels of chrysin (5,7-dihydroxyflavone), which is a naturally occurring flavonoid. It is believed to inhibit aromatase enzymes which convert androgens into estrogen in the bloodstream. Therefore resulting in higher levels of androgens like testosterone and lower levels of estrogen.

Research has failed to prove that chrysin inhibits aromatase activity and current medical opinion is that it has no effect on testosterone and estrogen levels.

Chrysin is a popular ingredient in many natural test boosters.

I'm not sure if the members of RX muscle and bb.com eat a lot of honey due to this fact or not but that's what I found while researching supplements. Reminded me of this thread so thought I would post it here.
