Yeah it's pretty noticable. 

TUFI SUA TUFUGA back thickness *shok* and the mass in the lower body is crazy also, will be insane if he can get the conditioning in the lower body.

Was an awesome show to watch. Tufis thickness was unbelievable, only drawback was perhaps quads not being as big or striated as the rest of his body.

Nelly looked great, chest was incredibly dense and I believe he would have won easily if he had dieted a bit more. In terms of balance and overall muscle, he was definitely up there if only he nailed his conditioning.

It was great to see Andy for the first time irl after seeing so many pics of him online. Was quite surprised at how much gyno he had. Kudos to him for still jumping on stage. Arms and delts were unreal and his most muscular was probably one of the best out of all of the competitors. Legs were better than expected and his conditioning seemed to be pretty good too. He just needs to work on his posing, get his gyno sorted and maybe upper back thickness and he will be amazing.

Michael Burge was truly shredded, easily the best conditioning on the night. Could see striations in his glutes on the side poses so truly remarkable for his first comp. You could definitely tell he was a powerlifter as he had solid quads. I think in the Juniors and guys under 80kgs, Burge and Jordan Earl were the only ones with decent size on their legs. Its a shame he left early as I think he could've won the overall novice title.

Jordan Earl aka trainlikeafreak was definitely the biggest of the Juniors by a long way. Quads were great as were arms. He did look a bit soft but I hear it was part of the plan. He has made so much improvement since I first started posting here.

I was pretty impressed with the physique competitors. Their abs were great. I found it surprising how the physique athletes all had really good midsections whereas the bodybuilders it was hard to find a good 6 pack. Maybe not enough time training abs? Dunno but certainly very aesthetic. A handful of guys had decent size on them too.

I found Kurt Dell's waist too thick and certainly not 5% like he claimed to be a weekout. Jake's shoulder broadness was unmatched but he was let down by his midsection. Must be genetics as he definitely seemed lean enough. Tyrone Bell looked absolutely fantastic, not much to fault at all.

All in all, it was a very entertaining day and certainly great motivation for me. It really reinforced the necessity of conditioning. Great comp!

Great write up Leeroid.

I think as a general rule the smaller guys (often Athletic class, now maybe physique class too) get leaner especially through the torso than the big open mens competitors. Unsure why, maybe a balance between holding mass and leaness comes into it? Or water?

Was a good show, Tufi smashed it and it's not that his lower body wasn't hard it was more that he didn't pose it properly.

TLAF was looking exactly where he thought he would look as he was running in to nationals.

Slept through mens board shorts and womens bikini which was a lot of sleeping cos they took forever.

I think if Nelly can get his condition right he will be very very hard to beat and a really nice guy just in general.

Was nice meeting a few people I haven't met before and catching up with a few monsters I used to know.

I thought that was a great report Leeroid watch the video the other day of the class with Kristan ,Nelly and Andy in that must of been a hard class to judge might watch the video of the Brods some time
