Advantages/disadvantages for what? It depends what you're wanting to get out of the lift?

Sumo is much more hip dominant, really hits the adductors and hammies hard, and is a very technical lift to get right. Currently trying to improve it myself. I think there's a lot of merit in actually training/using both styles, for either bodybuilding or powerlifting pursuits.

oh haha that was silly of me i guess not a good idea for me if its more hip dominant
