USA Like foods?

So i've been curious, do New Zealand have nutritional foods like USA do in their super markets?

Some foods such as like EggBeaters?

Waldern Farms kind of stuff - calorie free range

Buttery Spray and stuff?

Basically just good dieting foods/subsititues, i only have a New World and Freshchoice around where i live, and in the free time i will go check it out.

But just wanted to get the input from the Gymnation commnuity, see what good diet foods and subsitutes they've found in NZ that can compare to US.. if that makes sense?

NZ is very limited compared to US. If you want certain things you'll have to order them online or find someone who imports them.

There is a range of sugar free sweets/chocolate usually in the gluten free kind of sections. And you have your general "low fat" kinds of things, but they aren't as numerous (I imagine - im actually from the UK so speaking on my experience from that).

Sometimes you get US or UK speciality stores, that specifically import certain things. Although these are usually bad foods - not "diet" foods.

Though i'm not sure I'd actually call sugar free lollies or wildern farms "good dieting food" ....

Are Egg Beaters liquid egg whites, or powdered? Either way, you can get similar products here, but probably not from the supermarket. I'd try a supplement retailer for that. (Personally, I just buy whole eggs and toss some of the yolks - it seems to work out much the same cost-wise)

There are also calorie-free sugar replacements (Splenda, etc) which you'll find in the sugar aisle of the supermarket. And in the health food/supplements aisle, you'll often find a few low-carb options of chocolate, but these are pretty expensive.

Do we have nutritional foods in our supermarkets?  erm...

New World and perhaps others usually have a few things of the liquid egg whites, but yeah just buy a tray of eggs and toss excess yolks if you've no other use for them.

Stevia is found online and hella expensive but a little goes a very long way.

On the whole, I'm not sure I'd bother with pseudo-foods made of science when vegetables are commonly available and made of science-free nutrition.

It seems easier to burn 2500 calories and eat whatever than to burn 1800 calories and eat expensive science.  Just move the goal line by upping activity levels.
