Low Calorie sauces for dieting?

Nandos sell their periperi sauce by the bottle. It is SO good!

I haven't ever seen it in the supermarkets though, so it requires a special trip to Nandos. That's a bit of nuisance, but it's worth it.

yes! these are very good and go with pretty much everything. just thought it's worth noting you can save at least half your money if you buy it from the smaller grocery stores instead of directly from nandos - check out those chinese/indian marts (not dairys) around the place they sell them and many other tasty, low cal and good priced sauces.

is it ok to soak your chicken and rice in it while dieting though? :pfft:

  • 1 month later...

I eat a lot of salads and like to have a dressing on them but the bought dressings are usually loaded with sugar so started making my own, a couple I quite like that go well with chicken:

3/4c Yoghurt (I use Easiyo, natural - no added sugar);

2 Tbsp fresh finely chopped mint

1 Tbsp Mustard Powder

2 Tbsp Lemon Juice

1/4 c Olive Oil

1/4c Balsamic Vinegar

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 Tsp Mustard Powder

Hope you like them!

Just start your deit by having the amount of sauce you usually would (or more?) and as the weeks go by cut a small amount out ....

Or just keep some sauce in all the time you'll still lose bf if you cut other things out like total carbs. (obv not saying drown everything in bbq)

If its salt etc you're worried about just cut it out when you get to a crucial stage just before a bbing show (if you are doing one).

Obv I don't mean have something that has heaps of shit it in that's never going to be good for you?

Its the total macro and calorie changes that makes a difference. Not if you use sauce or not.
