Hey guys bit about myself..

28years old, ive been lifting weights for about 18months now got a variety of equipment set up at home i quite enjoy it ill post some pics in this thread when i figure out how :P , trying to build more muscle and lean of the fat have been doing fight sports for past 6years so not trying to build a massive body, have questions about the use of testostrone and supps that can be used for recovery so that i can incorporate the 2 types of training together.

im using a pure whey about 80%protein in my diet

ive researched on the web about l-leucine and other bcaa type products but not sure what is the best for me and how i would work out what would be best for me.

Any input would be great thanks :D:D:D:D

IMO BCAA's are a waste of money if your diet is well balanced a nice thing to have but not necessary at all.

As for the protein that sounds like a typically WPC.

Your going to have a hard time building muscle and losing fat at the same time especially if you have been workout for a while. If you are serious about your goals you will workout your required calorific intake and eat according to them. Training does play a role in the results but without the appropriate diet you will be limiting your results.

Good luck.

Welcome mate. Fight sports, eh? Hence the username, I guess!

So are you wanting to train for both fighting and resistance work? Have you tried doing weights with explosive speed on the concentric part of the movement? ie, push the weight up as fast as you can, then lower it normally. Machines are good to use for this.

Hey I dont count calories but I stay away from unnecessary sugars try to eat smart small portions more regular use protein, I spent abit of time doing nothing hence the need to shed a couple of kgs.

Haha yea Hes the greatest boxer to live in my opinion, I do a bit of light weight fast reps in a circuit targeting explosive power I've only got free weights and also do heavier weight to try build abit of size, I kinda swap up between body building training and strength training been considering buying a multi-gym but would have to lose a couple of benches to fit it in, as for resistance training I haven't done to much research on that topic do you have any good links you could recommend? Also do cardio skipping/bike and rowing machine

Well, by resistance training, I really just mean anything like free weights, machines, etc - anything that resists you. My thinking was that explosive movements with weights would replicate the explosive movements in boxing, so would probably help you a lot.

But I'm no expert on this - perhaps someone else can chime in here?
