How often do you wash your gym gear?

I reuse trackies and shorts a bit, usually because I do a lot of my workouts in a lifting singlet. But I change shirts every session.

Haha as for knee sleeves, no comment :shifty: Maybe once a month, I find it easiest just to air them out because I use them every session.

towels every 3-4

Man, that's almost hospital-grade hygiene!

Me - singlet changes daily, shorts generally last a few days, and towel... um... I figure as long as my white towel has not yet turned green, it's all good, right?

Reuse shirts or shorts  that must be one of those things ppl who don't give 100% in every session do :pfft:

Used to use new gym towel every day but now I change every 2nd or third session. It sucks when you forgot you wiped up some chalk at the end of the last session then go to use the towel the next session and get a face full of chalk lol

Knee wraps, wrist wraps, versagrips. Have never ever cleaned ever

That's what I was thinking - I could never re-use shirts or shorts. I usually have to fight my t-shirts / singlets off after a workout that's how soaked in sweat I get.

I've pretty much got a different set of gym clothes for every workout. Usually I'll wear a hoodie to begin with but that comes off before I get into the workout (usually).

Towels can make it 2-3 workouts. I just put em on the airer when I get home and pack a dry one for the next day.

Clothing wise every session even if I use my singlet to train in. BUT singlets (x2) probably once a month and knee sleeves 5 weeks or so. I found washing the knee sleeves quickly destroyed the already badly designed material, even hand washed or machine wash in delicates bag with no spin.

Can you wash squat shoes? or I guess the soles?

shirts : soaking wet after each session so they go in the wash

pants/shorts: after every 2nd session, barely sweat down there anyway and shower regularly including before gym so no odor buildup there

towel : weekly - don't sit on my towel anyway i just put it on the bench to absorb all the sweat form my head/back and wipe my face with it now and then so don't consider it much of a problem. have seen some people who sit on it during cardio then later see those guys wiping their face or laying their head on it on bench press...

didn't find the article interesting at all, i think instead of focusing on how clean the clothes were , they should have asked how regularly most people shower and how thoroughly lol... imo the people who stink up the joint are not those who don't change shirt everyday but the ones who come in dirty, don't' shower often and try disguise it with deodorant -> strong asscrack smell alert

deodorant

Yes! Regardless of hygiene, just as bad are the ones who use deoderant like they're spray-painting a wall... "Must achieve total coverage lest some smell escape out of any spot I missed."

Sometimes I'm amazed the smoke detectors aren't triggered.
