Shame he never competed but he had his reasons and they seem pretty legit. Seems like the guy had a good set of morals and values.

Agree but he might not have been able to ever get the conditioning needed to win the title. Which is why it's a shame he never gave it a chance

I saw Victor Richards warm up on shoulder press @ Club Physical Te Atatu many many years ago. (When it was all seasons). 180kg seated barbell press for reps ..... amazing strength and genetics for sure.
