Our new website is getting closer, and the design needs a photo of a gym. A photo like this one:

Unfortunately, I don't know where that image came from, so I don't know what the copyright situation is. So I'm looking at shooting my own version.

Good post Harley. Definitely one of the toughest looking gyms around.

A lot of the crossfit gyms are pretty hardcore looking like CBC - CFNZ and CF Manukau have the same look as CBC.

As well as Powerhouse, Miada, Genetics and Fitness Plus - take your pick Pseudo, there's plenty of tough looking gyms out there :nod:

It's the AMOUNT of stealing that's in question, Cameron! What I've done here is just borrowing it a little.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. CBC might be a possibility - they've certainly got the gear. Unfortunately, it looks like everything is painted white? Under-exposing the photo will do a bit, but my preference would be for raw concrete blocks.

CF Manukau might be a good option though. From the photos I've seen it looks like they might also have more space, so we can get a nice clear shot. Just a bit worried about the fat crossfit plates.

lol dude whose gonna come to this site if you stick up a poverty photo like that. look i was talking to my mate bigron08 if you don't know who that is it's Ronnie Coleman look him up he's a big shot! anyway he said the agency would freak out if i took a photo of him to use for promotion here so i took a photo and then redrew it instead, i permit you to use this masterpiece but pls remember with great power comes great responsibility, hope you can manage the influx of new users due to this new banner.

We'll be using a dark image as our background, so that gives us a bit of intensity (hardcore, but not ultra-hardcore). And it contrasts nicely with the rest of the site, which is a lot lighter. So don't worry - it's not all grubby and depressing. :grin:

OH dark, grungy got it. Skipped over the first post a little :doh: Anyway here is the grungy version added in watermarks with current site name so you can start using it for the current site already and we can change it later on for the new brand. enjoy

Just thought I'd say thanks to Crossfit Manukau for being such a fine photographic location - and thanks to Danomyte for suggesting it!

I'm absolutely stoked with how the photo came out. I actually think it's better than the original. :grin:

I considered posting a preview of it here, but nah... I'm going to make you all wait for it. With a bit of luck, you'll be able to see it live on the new site in a week or two. We're finally getting close!
