Balance Ultra ripped protein

Good Morning Guys and girls,

so after my 3rd tub of Lean Shot, i was thinking its time for a new protein product to try, i been eying up Balance ultra ripped protein Vanilla Latte style, which i got today... just having my 10am shake ... this stuff tastes incredible i always mix with milk, but this tastes like i just mixed with water its so thin not thick like others that u need to use a spoon, and you just rinse it in water and its all clean, but the best part it tastes like Coffee Latte (CHOICE) http://www.gymeez.co.nz/product_info.php?cPath=28_69&products_id=1142

this product contains more nutrition than my last one did, and more mg added to others that was in my Lean Shot i used to take,

i am looking forward doing a result on this product once i finish it and see if there is an different - the performance factor on this Protein product is

C1.8 P25.1 F.03 i'll be sticking to the same meals i was on with lean shot,

my daily meals routine is, Breakfast "soilds" mid morning "shake" lunch "solids" prework "shake" post "shake dinner "soilds" before bed "soilds

but at the same stage, i am stopping the gym for one month and starting insanity workout program,

so i'm really looking forward to seeing the results different in health general than my last tub (Caffeine pickup 100mg per serve) this is 25mg per serve

That's fair enough, just saying their are plenty of cheaper alternatives.

Price doesn't necessarily dictate quality of a product. I wasted hundreds of dollars in my early years of lifting just passing on some advice.

Anything that is reasonably priced.

Dymatize have a reasonably priced isolate just search through the online stores to get an idea of prices and products.

Isolates are good if your lactose intolerant but are typically significantly more costly to concentrates and the macros are very similar. 1-2g fat & carbs in WPC versus 0-1g fat & carbs in isolate.

Their maybe be other benefits to using a WPI rather than WPC, I've tried both and don't notice a difference.

the product whether it's ronnie colemans whey, jay cutlers creatine or balance ultra ripped protein is not supposed to do jack mate.

each day you should be aiming to take in x amount of protein, y carbs, z fat , as you stated you don't get enough whole foods and use shakes to make up for it, no prob just realise the supps are only filling in the gaps and not adding extra magical effects behind the scenes. that's all what will really make the difference in the end and if at the end of this month you are leaner/more muscular it is not due to your intake of this new product but a result of your own efforts in taking in the right amount of food + training correctly.

jimmy is right on the money there ( :pfft: ). it is not a bad product but just saying besides flavour, there is nothing that makes this better than others on the market which you can pick up for way cheaper. really the advice is in your best interests no intention to make a mockery out of you

Yip, i understand the macro's etc, how i did my big transformation as posted in pics..... I'm starting to see my abs now, so the nutrition side is always under control, the only problem with me, as you said is Taste......i'm that like the taste, i do have tummy problems with most of the protien shakes, so isolate works wonders for me and i do use them when i need it ..... as i'm not a heavy eater as well...

but yea they are not wonder products just help you when u need something fast on the go in between =D which i understand as well...

i guess i was mixed up in my post (thinking it was an wonder tool)

its cool we all go there at some stage

i feel ya with the flavor man heaps guilty of that in the past but after a while you just think screw this that's enough money down on taste i can just cheaply put my own coffee/milo to improve the flavor of a cheaper one.

keep up the progress

Yip I Agree with you on that, WPC does that same, have no idea as well, i do about 7 ltrs of milk per week, that's included in my protien shakes as well, but once i switched to WPI I'm fine

Is there any difference in the lactose content of different milks? I only buy the regular blue top so I'm not sure if there might be something there.

Of late, I generally have 2l-3l of milk each day plus 90g WPC and sometimes half a litre of ice cream with no issues. I suspect if you can do the same (substituting WPI for WPC) then lactose isn't standing out as the cause of the problem.

That reminds me; it's payday so I'm off to buy 4l of flavoured milk. Booyah!

Skim milks have higher lactose than full cream milks.

For example light blue lid milk will have higher lactose and protein than dark blue lid milk.

Skim milks are standardized by fat content as are full cream milks. Raw milk is skimmed giving skim and cream then cream is added to the separated skim to make the desired fat content. The skim off the separator is typical <0.1wt%.

Vitamins can also be adding during standardizing.

I remember reading a paper about lactose in tolerance. In summary when you are young you have the enzyme in your stomach that is able to break down lactose however when you stop consuming dairy products high is lactose for a period of time these enzymes are not longer needed and become in tolerant to lactose.

So by keeping your lactose intake up your shouldn't have issues with lactose. It is unusual to have issues with WPC by not full cream milk though as WPC will only have 2-4g of lactose. It maybe for to do with the particular protein you are taking.

I remember when I took eat me WPC I got terrible gas and digestion issues but other WPC's are fine.

Regardless of income, Balance ultra ripped Protein is still expensive, and imo not worth it when you have a lot of other brands out their which are virtually identical, and taste better.

+1, sense above dollars!

bro how dare you badmouth gymrats sponsor?

but very interesting stuff about lactose thanks that makes a lot of sense. never would have thought i had become intolerant to the stuff so fast (thought you either born with it or have to become an old man before it happens) but alas, had a long break from dairy before and when returning, oh boy is it disastrous. don't suppose it's possible to re-condition one self right?

Not entirely sure, when your an infant you need it to break down lactose from breast milk so you must be born with the enzyme. Haven't seen anything about reconditioning tolerance....

As for Eat Me it was about 2 years ago it may have a better manufacturing process/ingredients now...... :P
