Eating Halal and Bodybuilding

Interested to hear from any muslim trainers or gym peeps about how you go about your nutritional routines if you live away from a solid source of halal meats and foods.

I have been doing a lot of research as my gf is muslim and have found Brinks do halal chicken in NZ and its readily available in most supermarkets. Chop chop chicken is halal also and fish is not a haraam so not too many dramas.

My challenge currently is beef and lamb and its availability on the north shore in Auckland. There is a place out west on lincoln road which I stop in at to stock up with beef lately and all of the other suppliers registered on the nz Islamic society web pages are based out South Auckland.

Have tried emailing foodstuffs and progressive direct but they don't currently keep a register of what is or isn't Halal. (Although they could tell me that Streets Magnum was ... if all else fails have a magnum :pfft: ).

Anyone else no of other meat suppliers or sources of halal meats via supermarkets - I spoke to the Mad Butcher up here and they dont supply.

Cheers for any info .... :)

Most frozen foods sections will stock Aria Farms meat (lamb, chicken and beef) strips, they are halal I'm pretty sure. I don't stock Brinks unless the pricing is better as I don't think there is enough market for them in my city, but that's how it is unfortunately. Some of the Andrew Corbetts products are halal too, I believe. They make burgers, meatballs, chicken nuggets and such but don't think they do any unprocessed meat products. Can't help you any more than that bro sorry.
