If you genuinely know your source and trust them then who cares how it comes, for years this is how is used and was sweet as I knew the guy really well and had trust.

But as said earlier still filter to be safe.

Just because it has a fancy bottle and label it can still be fake as was discussed here last year, there were guys doing this.

I'm too lazy to check the definition of sterile in case you're lawyer-right, but I'm guessing running it through a .45 then .22 filter into a sterilised glass vial with 5%BA then sealed results in something most would agree is sterile.

.22 of 1 millionth of a metre is pretty small. The bad things need to be smaller than that to pass through the filter. There are some that will but life is like that.

Yeah filter it and put it in glass. At least then you can inspect it for specs.

As for how safe it is. Most UG brews over compensate with extra alcohol so chance of infection is lower, but it would still be worth trying to see the conditions it was brewed in. A labeled vial may not mean good product. But it sure speaks to the work ethic and pride of the dude making it.

Definitely trust. I used to buy bladders of gear back in the day. It was good... but once you bought it... it was up to you how you treated it. I always re-filtered it and put it in a sterile vial. You get what you pay/bargain for.

If you know the guy you bought it off used good powders, BA, BB and a decent oil then you're good to go! But if not... bin that shit and move on.

The kitchen sink is probably the best place to make it in the house!
