Before I went out the door this morning I emailed ASN nutrition to ask about sponsoring me on journey to NABBA/WFF Pan pacfic champs in Auckland on August 17th.When I got home from work I got a email back from ASN saying that I have to email them back with a profile or my CV plus photos as well.Before they can explore sponsorship options for me.I will keep you guys posted and I hope the answer will be yes :pray: .If I do get sponsorship from them plus it will be a big help since the profits on give a little page are a bit flat.

I'd be interested to hear from those that are sponsored. Is it a tub of protein powder every month or is it more....

Some runners every 3 months for 85kg marathon boys I hear... :pfft: :grin:

I'm sure legit sponsored athletes have some confidentiality clauses, whether contractual or agreed, that won't let them answer this. I'm sure it varies greatly too, the difference between Darryn's former Gaspari deal (or Garth's Muscletech via Nutrition Systems) will be lightyears from a local supplement shop or gym "sponsoring" a novice athlete.

My deal suits my situation and ability to add value to my sponsor, as I'm sure Phil Heath's does, but there's a slight difference in our bargaining power! (Phil's aways out of protein by the 20th of the month and calling me to borrow some! :pfft: :grin: ).

Let's be clear, no one in our sport (in NZ) gets a fraction of what an AB does...

don't forget to mention that you are not only a bodybuilder but also a seasoned actor, they are practically getting NZs Arnold. you could add even more value to their brand by getting in to advertisements on tv and influence the masses with your wit and charm over and above the obvious aesthetic appeal factor

Thanks guys for wishes to me but I did mention in the email to ASN my famous phrase of Gym rat baby also that I have trained with some of NZ best bodybuilders also I would get offers to be in Les Mills adds plus I would have to be extra careful when I plus I might feel a :shifty: bit when i get checked out by lots of hotties
