Push up routine

yes a body weight routine (not just pushups on their own unless you only do bench press when you go gym ) can form a good workout to help you get strength/mass but it all depends on what your current stats are.

you can make your own program to suit your own needs include some good stuff like burpees, pushups, pullups, situps, crunches, L-sits, bodyweight squats, jumping squats, 1 legged squats etc. you can mix it up so many ways and challenge yourself in a large variety of ways such as timed challenges (do x number of reps for x number of exercises within x minutes), do pyramid sets etc. experiment and see how you go. it can be heaps of fun but whether you'll be able to enjoy it right off the bat depends on your current level of cardio.

*if you are a big 90kg dude who benches 150 and squats 200+ then I wouldn't expect to make gains doing pushups but you can still work on a circuit body weight routine to help you with cardio/endurance

If he was, I doubt he'd be here asking that question

Hey!

I tested myself to see how many I could do till failure. I done them as quick as possible with good form, I completed 88.

I'm currently 90kg, 170cm and I bench 3 sets of 120kg free weights.

I've been thinking about my goals and I want to get rid of fat now, especially my belly! So I'm going to do the Insanity workout by Shaun T and stop eating junk food. I done day two today and I was sweating like crazy and had to stop often for breaks because the workout was intense for me.

The program is very challenging for me so I believe it will work good for getting rid of my fat.

What are you thoughts on doing a push up program every second day with the insanity program?

Do you think there will be a big difference in size and definition gained?
