Is it nzpf or capo you need it for?

I jut see you hve been commenting on the capo comp thread. I think they have different rules to NZPF but normally an NZPF approved belt will also be CAPO approved but probably not vice versa

I'm just doing the CAPO one for fun, will be doing a few NZPF competitions.

In that case, you will have to ask your local NZPF association for permission to compete in a different federation or else you may not be allowed to participate in any NZPF competitions thereafter.

Cheapest IPF approved belt on there is 69USD. Shipping is about $20-30, I think. For a good quality IPF approved belt, you'd be looking at spending at least $100.

EDIT: Just saw barbelle's post on the CAPO thread. Outbak belts are mint, get one of those.

I don't understand why they have these rules.

I guess it does go higher then National level RE: the rules. My understanding is it's because of the alignment with the IOC charter and it's rules and regs.

The IPF is the only PL fed in the world that is recognised by the IOC. I guess the rules are there to stop any positive tests creeping in from other feds coming in to the IPF.

This is not to insinuate that if you lift capo - you are going to get on the lollies - but more of a blanket rule to cover all situations with out discrimination - ie. it's either IPF or Capo, not both.

My 2 cents.

Haha forgot you were asking about a comp belt - outbak belts are good, also try liftinglarge.com and/or houseofpain.com for a belt.

Cheers guys looking into getting an OutBak belt.

As for the rules it sounds like the NZFBB and NABBA WFF/NAC. If you compete in NZFBB can't compete in other federations (at least I think that's the case).

Might have to ditch the CAPO competition so I can do the NZPF competitions which are more local.

Only at pro level.

but only for BB, AFAIK, where it's common to federation-jump at the non-pro level if you can afford to pay a second joining fee.

I understand it's a lot more strict in powerlifting where it's not just a matter of joining federations in time to compete, then swapping back...
