injection pain or just bad gear

Recommended Posts

Did first pin in right thigh all good, did second pin left thigh injection sight not sore but had red patch near knee and sore, did right thigh again all good, and left all good, did right thigh again and went light red at/near injection sight, and solid as a rock and pain, redness has gone after 3rd day and pain is gone, just wondering if it is bad gear or time to change injection site, using 23g needle or would it be better to go smaller,

on both times pain starts to come on 6-10hrs time

Sounds pretty standard to me. As long as the site doesn't stay swollen for more than a few days, get increasingly painful, hot to the touch or just plain looks infected then you'll be sweet. It's just your muscle complaining that you stabbed it with a steel pin and jabbed a foreign substance into it.

I use 25g to pin, it is more comfortable. Give it a whirl. I wouldn't jab into the same spot more than once a week, otherwise should be sweet. Assume you are using proper sterile and injection techniques and jabbing the right spots...

If it was "bad gear" then you'd prob have pain every time

How long have you been using?

It gets easier, and with less aches as you get better (no wiggles) and it is acepted as part of your day. I never notice it after 5 mins.

I am going natural now. Grapeseed only gives minimal calories anyway... :pfft:

Im new to this and am on my 8th or 9th pin this Monday and get 0 aches/pain only been using quads to date. Occassional next day stiff-ness like a mild punch to the leg but stretching gets rid of that. Might try add some grapeseed next time ;p
