I have an idea, input needed please!

My lifestyle dictates my workout planning. Work starts at 8.30 finishes at 4.30. Lunch is not long enough to work out in, so I usually hit the gym straight after work.

Right now I am doing IF, and I think I have lost enough fat so I think I may change it up.

My idea is to just smash protein shakes, with a cup of rolled oats (ground down to a powder), usually with berries or something else to up the calories in it to around 800 ish.

Can I have some feedback on my proposed daily diet of;

Morning P/shake (8.30ish am)

Morning lunch P/shake (around 11-12ish)

Afternoon P/shake (around 2.45-3ish)

Drinking water all day, and maybe a pre-workout before taining at 4.30pm.

After, another shake + dinner. Right now I squeeze 2800-3000 calories in after gym everyday. Since Im thinking of adding these shakes during the day, each around the 800 mark, I wont need to scoff at night BUT, would it be good or detrimantal to do it anyway?

I try and eat well, no sweets, soda, chips ect. If this is my source of food 99% of the time will it work? At only 77kg, I want to GROW and still be lean.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Oats can work well - when I was a poor student I used to have a cup of oats blended in water about 3 times a day, along with protein shake or meat based protein source. The rest of my carbs came at dinner time as rice/kumara.

My only concern is you seem to be having no variety of protein source (just says shakes) or veges/fruits? You'll put yourself at risk of being deficient in some vitamins and minerals...fibre wont be a problem tho! :pfft:

Tonight for dinner was meatloaf :) and I eat fruit here and there. I LUUURVE the meat (no homo). I eat my fair share everynight.

Tonight I had my shake, two helpings of meatloaf with baked potatoes and mixed veges. I cant even sit straight right now or my stomach will pop :)

Cheers guys.

So a normal day for me looksl like this.

Shake

4 eggs

Tuna+toast

Chicken+Rice (Sometimes more eggs)

Salad in there somewhere. Fruit in there somewhere. Random munchies in there somewhere.

works out to around 2800-3000 calories.

30% Carbs

36% Fat

34% Protein

Seems like HEAPS of fat :P

I second the blended oats idea, it's incredibly cheap and easy to consume. I suggest you have a different meal at lunch instead of the protein shake though. Mince and wholegrain pasta or something like that.

Since there's no time to work out at lunch, you'll have all that time for eaaaattting.

You guys often consume Sago? I remember eating it as a kid and saw it in the supermarket the other day so i got some. The macronutrients are pretty fantastic, 100g (uncooked) is like 48g carbs, which makes a lot cooked (i used skim or almond milk) and add cinnamon etc etc... kinda like oats. Also i noticed something in New World today, i'm sure you guys have heard of Walden farm? well if you go to the dessert isle of your new world and next to the chocolate sauce and icecream cones should be "calorie reduced" raspberry sauce... 100g is like 7carbs.... could be a good idea for those of you cutting.

Also puffed wheat=awesome for volume.

Any one else seen some good food in terms of volume for energy. energy porous, nutrient dense if possible, like veges :) .
