Cortisone Injection

Have had a my shoulder playing up for the last few years decided had enough of painkillers so went to the doctor this morning and asked if I could get a cortisone injection next minute we are in the surgery area I've paid the pharmacy for it and he's injected my shoulder so just have to wait a few days to let it settle :grin:

Definitely don't rush back into training as the cortisone (a very catabolic steroid) will weaken areas other than the targeted tendon (I'm assuming it was a tendonitis issue?).

Train legs / abs etc but lay off anything that stresses the shoulder area or you're likely to do more damage than you originally had.

Yeah nate225 tendon been giving me grief for the last 5-6 years about this time of year, sick of taking painkillers. Yep be legs today and no upper body till next week sometime doctor said give it a rest have had this done before nate225

I had bursitis in my shoulder for like a year. Fucked around with myotherapists, acupuncture etc etc finally got cortizone, boom gone.

WOW really? how long since youre shoulder was painfree from cortisone?

ive heard it only lasts 3 months b4 coming back usually.

ive got chronic swelling in my sprain for 7 months now i wonder if it can help me
