good morning, i got a new food program to help me drop my tummy and get abs.... before this i was still going to the gym lifting heavy etc but just eating what i like but not over do it .. i think i was taken in 1.9 to 2000 cals per day and a **** loads of sugar blah blah etc

this new program i started a bit on sunday and then come monday full into it its 6 small meals per day

dropping about 500 to 700 cals and only about 5 to 6 grams of sugar.... big drop for me

but today i feel like crap dizzy just wanna puke feeling, i can still do my work at stuff, just really like i have a cold tummy always growling for food when i eat from my program i feel worse...

is this normal cause my body not use to to it ? has anyone have this problem before? how long dose it say? its annoying and i want to give up.. =( trying to fight it

sample from one of the foods for the day i have from program

tuesday

1 whole egg / 3 egg white with tomatoes

snack - 1 ounce of almonds

lunch chicken salad

i reckon what you're probably feeling right now is some sugar cravings. sugar is after all very addictive and is used strategically that way in many foods. it will take time but you'll get over it. some people say meals every now and then might help but i'll leave that to someone who has actually tried it and can comment on experience.

the other thing is you might want to drop down slowly to your new caloric intake level to give the body a bit of time to adjust, especially your digestive system if you've suddenly gone from a really high sugar unhealthy diet to real healthy stuff.

what's your height/weight anyway? and where did you get that food plan from? (hopefully not randomly off the internet) it really looks like jack all food, i suppose your focus is to lose that fat ASAP?

I'm 10 days into a low glycemic diet, I'm eating a couple of pieces of fruit but other than that my carbs come from oats and brown rice. It's only in the last couple of days that I've starting to feel normal again, I'm guessing it's my body getting better at running off the slower releasing carbs and my fat. Hopefully you just need to get over the hump and things will come right.

sweet, if it's working no reason to change it up. at that height, 5~10 more kgs off you and you'll have those clear abs you want

it's probably just DOMS (delayed muscle soreness) which you've probably experienced on your other muscles by now, you'll get used to it here too. ways of reducing it? bit of extra cardio (light) to get the blood flowing at the end of the workout then spend some time stretching (beneficial for tonnes more reasons than just lowering DOMS), especially spend time stretching the muscles you've worked on the day if you're in a hurry, else stretch everything.

Thanks man, just reading that made my day 5 to 10kgs =D - yip i changed it up a bit, cause i think i was eatting way less Cals, i should be around 2300, but aim for under, i only eat clean foods now, i still eat normally like i di. 6 meals, but only good foods, but thinking of adding more protein shakes like twice a day, only half scoop after workout whole scoop..

but the sore abs, i didnt really train abs i just try and crunch them while i am doing my weight training, someone told me its easyier, but after doing normal ab workouts like plank etc, i think that person was BS =D

keep them tight (breath in to the area to create internal pressure and flex) with your regular weight training like when you do military press, deadlift, squat etc. it helps protect your back and is part of maintaining proper form in those lifts (and many others). it will help that way but some isolation work also helps. eg. if you really want to tighten the waist area then you'll find nothing more effective than vacuums, flat and side planks. crunches on their own are good too but you need to practice control with them to eliminate hip flexors from the movement (so don't lock your feet down, try frog crunches or crunch with your feet up on a chair)
