Sky Sport has 5 sports channels, they have rugby/league netball soccer etc they even have poker and darts how about BodyBuilding there some big comps on that could be shown. have asked ages ago but just fobbed off. Come on Sky BodyBuilding ago :clap:

its possibly not even in their control though(?) i heard major bb shows like Mr. Olympia don't even air overseas because sponsors like bodybuilding.com prefer viewers to see it from their site for marketing reasons

could be years ago when sky first started up they had bodybuilding on. They had the likes of Flex wheeler Corey Everson, so why cant they have it on again.

Poker and darts has a bigger following than competitive bodybuilding.

Television is prioritised by popularity.

Advertisers don't want to pay to have their ads on when no ones watching.

Yip webcasts are on bodybuilding.com for the big international shows like the arnold classic and mr Olympia.

Sky plays strongman events which I find more entertaining.

Or watch the documentary "Evolution of Bodybuilding" (Shawn Ray's baby), which suggests another reason Bodybuilding, specifically the Mr Olympia show, doesn't air on television.

Apparently after Arnold won Sydney Olympia (1980?) the directors met with officials and said the judging was so bad (even to the untrained viewer) that it could never be aired on television. The footage was never shown and although they had paid to film the next years Olympia the film crew never even showed up :shock:
