Yes wtf was this? SBW would have been knocked out if they ran 2 more rounds. Thats why they cut it short. And thats why he was holding so much he was out to it on his feet.

Haters gon' hate. Sonny Bill fought a smart fight and out boxed Botha enough in the first 6 rounds to deserve that victory. As far as the 10 rounds go, the ref called it as the final at the start of the 10th before Sonny Bill was in trouble. Who knows what the deal with that was.

Botha is washed up and slow, he should give up.

Sonny Bill has improved heaps from his previous fight, well done to him.

Ref made the wrong call then as it was a WBA sanctioned title fight which is meant to be for 12 rounds.

SBW looked dicey from in the 9th round too and did well to get through the 10th. Would have been knocked out IMHO had it gone the 12.

He had improved a lot though and was pretty impressive in rounds 2 to 8 but most won't remember this fight for that, more so the farcical way it ended.

it was meant to be 12 rounds sonny bill was in big trouble in the 9th was fuked nek minute 10th and final round and he holds on for the hole round and the ref lets him rest in the corner for half the round the powers that be didn,t wanna see there golden boy get knocked out and prob gave the judges a little tap on the shoulder

I agree. He's definitely improved a lot and people are going to take him a bit more seriously from now on.

He also deserved the win. I think people are going to fail to mention all the cheap late hits that Botha got in.

Still... everyone loves to see a KO and it would've been great if the final 2 rounds were actually played out :lol:

Anyone with fuckin peanut for a brain could see that whole thing was a farse.

When compared to his other fights it was good.

Of course it was a sham. I think everyone that watched the match can agree to that, but the fact is... real or WWE imitation - SBW was the better fighter of the night.

Not necessarily. He made it through the hiding he got in the 10th round with some good "Tactics". He could've easily kept out of reach, throwing the occasional jab during the last 2 and survived.

Don't get me wrong... I think it's bullshit that the ref called it final on the 10th, but it WAS the ref. Lets not take away the fact that SBW dominated the ring for majority of the fight... Even if they were only acting

All I'm trying to say is that, in my opinion, of the 10 rounds of boxing I saw Sonny Bill was ahead on points. He likely would have been knocked out in the next round yes, but there was no next round.. As to what was going on with it ending in 10 f*ck knows and I'm not talking about that.

If the fight was "supposed" to finish in 10 rounds do you not think that he did enough to win? (serious)

from what I make of the footage that I saw on the news I thought the fight looked rigged to me also I read on the stuff website that the TAB give people there money back.Which i thought was far.If I was one of those people who put money on the fight I would feel ripped off after watching a rigged fight.

I wasted money and time on this fight, was disappointed.

The fight when only 10 rounds which not even the TAB or Commentators knew about, and just this morning I heard that botha fails a drugs test.... wtf

Apparently that particular boxing federation doesn't drug test and this would be a first and it seems particularly convenient.

The TAB lost out on a fortunate and won't be doing bidding on SBW fights anymore which I think is a completely good idea.

SBW is an attention whore and just looking for publicity, what has happened to boxing.... The belt wasn't even legit...
