What do you do when you don't have time to finish a morning workout?

Coming back after work doesn't seem like a good idea because those muscle groups are in repair mode by then so hitting them again isn't productive.

But on the other hand, not worrying about it and just going on to the next body part next time means that legs and chest Monday might often be cut short so not getting all the stimulus they should be.

I'm thinking home-->gym-->work by 0800 is the only option as Auckland commutes mean heading home after the gym isn't a viable plan.

Anywho, ignoring the commute issues, how would you manage interrupted training sessions?

lol by my math getting up at 0530 means I should be okay if I'm not competing for bench/cage. Any earlier seems pretty rough!

What's wrong with hitting the same body part twice a day? AZIDE used to do it

I probably don't have the same recovery powers...

Maybe it's just another of those things to try out and see what comes of it. I sometimes forget that option.

I know what you're saying, but I suspect in the greater scheme of things, it's not a huge factor. I would imagine that the benefits of coming back for a second go and working the muscle properly vastly outweigh any negatives.

In fact, it might even be the ideal way to train - you fatigue the muscle once, give it the day for the glycogen energy stores to replenish, then hit it again that night to thrash it properly. It means energy no longer limits how much you can work the muscle.

Disclaimer: That is pure bro-science and supposition. But it sounds good - I've nearly convinced myself! :grin:
