Weigh chips - before or after cooked?

well if you weigh em after theyre cooked, its a better indication of what you are eating because they've lost the water weight by then similarly with frozen meats. whatever you do, just stay consistent so you have an accurate base to make adjustments off as required , it shouldn't be that big a deal unless youre on a very strict diet (though according to one of his vids, Mr. Olympia Phil heath didn't even care enough to factor water weights in to some of his measurements)

Hey, are you supose to weigh frozen chips while their frozen or once they are finished cooking?

Cause with pasta its before cooking. But im thinking 'after' as when you cook with frozen chips cause the water evaporates. But i'm not sure.

Are you talking deep fried or oven bake or what the hell

Oven baked. 300grams frozen came out 200grams cooked btw.

Hey Rick. Just seen your topic about stubborn stomach fat. Now i see you talking about weighing chips! CHIPS! Bad news mate chips are only a luxury for those hard gainers who can eat and eat and eat. Us meer mortals have to save the goodies for that once a week meal during any fatloss cycle :( .

on topic: I always work on the weights of the packaging (uncooked weight) on everything. so much easier imo. I always look for the 900g pack of 3 chicken breasts at paknsave.

everything in food industry labeling uses the product as it is stored in the bag or jar.

If a bag of chips says that 100gms has 100 calories, it's 100gms from out of the bag....they have no idea how you are going to cook it, and they didn't cook their product then determine the calorific content :roll: common sense

Same goes for meat, veges, rice, milk, bread...everything you buy on the shelves of a supermarket follows the same pattern
