Welcome - good on you for hiring a trainer. So many people (experienced and in-experienced) don't and fall short of their goals because they dont have the right advice or support.

Has the addiction to weights set in yet? That's when you know you're in it for the long haul!

I started with my gym just over a year ago. The plan wasn't originally anything to do with bodybuilding, but then I got addicted to the weights side of things - lets face it, the cardio machines can be pretty boring! - and the rest is history.

Look forward to following your journey. Mine has been incredible - a year on I'm about 20 kgs down, well within the healthy weight range even though I'm pretty muscular now (and weigh more as a result), feel fantastic, and wouldn't recognise my old body. We women are capable of anything we set our minds to.

Enjoy the journey - once you get to the point where something feels *wrong* if you miss a day, then you've got it nailed, I reckon.

Leanne.

@leanne

Cheers babe. Yeah the weights addiction has set in! Today I didn't do any gym work but felt the sudden after dinner need to power walk 5 km in the rain WTF!!!

Normal week now sees me at the gym 5 days with weights and cardio (hate it but recognize the benefits).

Also seeing the lack of weight loss but significant change in body structure and loving it!! :lol:
