this comp was bout 2years ago he guy on the right it was his 1st comp i think and he lost this match, but now hes the n.z champ and noboyb can even come close to pining him yet, the latest comp is on this weekend at the Genetics Gym in Manuka Auckland.

Well, I went along to this yesterday. Interesting to see that being the biggest/strongest definitely doesn't mean you're going to win. Some of the smaller guys punched way above their weight (if you'll excuse the mixed sports metaphor).

Got a few good shots of Moose beating Majorflavazz. Then a few more of Majorflavazz beating Moose. Good competition, guys! :grin:

Cool clear pictures there Pseudonym, yep was good to meet you Moose your one big strong guy bro, was an awesome day huge turnout best armwrestling competition so far, prizes were well worth it 1st place receiving 2.27kg nutratech whey protein, nutratech shaker, nutratech custom t-shirt,Genetics gym membership and certificate. Entry fee was only $5 each arm.

I got 1st place under 100kg class right arm( i weighed in at 96kg)

and i also got 1st place under 110kg class right arm the final being against Moose who beat me in the 1st match against him and i beat him the 2nd and 3rd match to win that class.

There was only under 90kg and over 90kg left arm i got 2nd in over 90kg. so yeah that was the best armwrestling turnout and competition in n.z so far

There were 5 new comers that caught my eye - with a little bit of finesse I can only say watch out. But 1 stood out and for me was the rookie of the Championships.

Moose - What a beast - He gave Majorflavazz a solid challenge and won a round against Majorflavazz . Welcome to the brotherhood Moose.

We had 2 Competors from Canada that is currently touring New Zealand, Steven and Correy. All the best with your travels guys and remember that you have Armwrestling brothers for life in New Zealand.

This was an awesome competition and great sponsorship. It was my first competition and I'm hooked now so the training starting next week.

majorflavazz you were as tough as I expected after we warmed up together I suspected I would have my work cut out for me. Great work to win your class and then step up to the next weight class and take out number 1 there too mate.

Was a great turnout and great to see the pics by pseudonym up there so quick.

Great competition. Well done Moose, I knew you'd do well mate. Once you get used to the different techniques involved I think you will dominate the 110kg class.

Well done as well Majorflavazz. Your endurance and explosive power is impressive mate, and your technique looks textbook perfect.

Man that Maateiwarangi Heta-morris who took out the 110kg class is an absolute machine. I think he will remain NZ champion for a while yet. To watch him win the overalls by beating all comers one straight after another with no rest is incredible. He truly seems in a league of his own.

Good to see a supplement company (nutratech) not only giving out prizes to all whom competed but to all the spectators as well :shock:

A very well run show, and a sport that seems to be growing rapidly in NZ.

For all you guys and gals out there who have thought about entering such a comp try get along to the next one as all the competitors seemed very welcoming of new comers, and very open on giving advice.

Oh and awesome pics pseudo. You were right that was the best place to take them from.

Hey Azide, theres one in hastings thats abit far, i think the next Auckland comp will be bout appril or may, the n.z team are takin some of there best over to take on the ozzys in march.hope we do well.
