I didn't ask for your opinion if my question was stupid or not. But thanks anyways.

could be stupid but taking the keto and low carb too serious here hence why the question.

what about the absorption?

bran flakes usually just passes though gut adding bulk to faeces thus not giving many usable calories.

but since they are now in flour form, increased surface area and thinking back to high school science where sugar granules dissolves faster than sugar blocks, does same apply in this case?

Sounds silly but bran is very filing and good for gut especially on high protein low carb diet.
