Kind of beside the point but well done on losing the 12kg bro

^^ this.

Credit to you for posting it up DrDM ... never heard of it but sounds like it could be some kind of hernia too. conversely have heard it said you gain an inch for every 2kg you lose from obese. I don't think its a scientific fact as such but it certainly looks a lot bigger when you are lean.

Sounds like you are on the right road though.

Again welldone on the weight loss.

Thank you Optimass and everyone else too, this has been a really great community for me, and has helped me tremendously. I am looking forward to the day when I reach my BF and Weight goal and can go back to lifting and building some mass and really get stuck into the whole BB thing....

okay, being the new kid on the block and also being a girl and all, i have to say i read this thread with a morbid fascination...and i cannot -- cannot! -- imagine having any female part of me wanting to hide inside me while i'm lifting heavy and then i got all queasy thinking about it...

jeez, dude...your doc's explanation makes sense. when did this start?

lol lol lol Athena lol, I can understand your feeling reading this. This just started happening to me late this year when I went back to weights to lose some fat and build some mass.

so August 2012 would be the first time in my life I have ever had it happen and ya I was a bit freaked out. it continues to happen when I push my body hard. I did deads the other day and it happened again and today is legs so I am sure it will happen today.

I never had it happen when I was "younger" lifting, I am not sure if this is age related or not but I am 54.

well, Optimass and AlBundy seem to know a lot more about it, so i'm leaving it to their expertise...and i'll just leave it at that.

i now feel the need to sleep with the lights on tonight.
