Hey all. I am a 21 y/o guy, living on the Northshore of Auckland. Have been an on and off gym-goer over the years.

I'm looking forward to reading through the forums and hopefully gaining a bit more knowledge about my personal situation!

I am the true deffinition on an Ectomorph, pencil thin limbs, 5'11 ..Nutrition wise, I understand what I need to do to gain weight, my issue is, not being able to find a personal trainer that really knows how to work with an extreme ectomorph. I have waisted too much money over the years, gym hopping, trying to find a trainer that can help me.

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT after quick results, I know gaining is a process that requires dedication and persistance. I just feel that many trainers out there (despite being great at what they do) don't have enough knowledge or sucess with my particular body type.

I just want to find someone that I can meet face to face and get some guidence and advice, a plan put in place.

Does anyone out there know of a trainer that is or that specialises in the Ectomorph body type or extreme hardgainers? Not just someone who knows how to help with weight gain, but Nutrition too?

Any feedback or advice would be really appreciated!

Cheers, Lochie

Welcome bro.

There's a lot of peeps here that should be able to help you out.

In all honestly, I wouldn't bother with a PT. All the information you need will have been covered at some point on this site.

If you're wanting to bulk, you should start with posting your daily eats in the Nutrition section. It will get a bigger audience than this area.

Yea don't bother with personal trainers. With the money spent on PT you could buy food and supplements.

Correct me if this formula is wrong but take your body weight times that by 26 and times by 1.2 to find your maintenance kcal. Once you find your maintenance calorie ie. 2500 cal add 300 to it and increase it until you find a steady weight gain

Use a software tool such as Myfitnesspal and track what your eating. Making sure your on a surplus
