Cheat meals/days?

I was just interested to know what everyone thinks about cheat meals/days?

Do you have them?

If so......

How often?

Do you eat anything you want and as much as you want?

Why do you have them?

I know alot of people have refeeds, but they are usually just an increase in clean food.

I have heard sooo many different opinions on cheat meals, so i am interested as to what you guys think?

i dont have cheat meals. if im cutting/bulking doesnt matter. im high carbs all the time right now.. bulking :grin:

i think a refeed would be better than a cheat meal. you wouldnt get all the fat/sugar that most people tend to take in when they 'cheat'

Yep.. there's nothing wrong with the occasional cheat meal - provided the emphasis is on occasional.

For instance, if I were invited out to dinner for a family celebration or something, I'd go... and bugger the diet! :grin:

One meal is not going to make or break your physique significantly (at least, not until you get much closer to the comp) - in fact, it may even do you good. Suddenly you get a whole heap of nutrients that you'd been missing for so long.

Having said that, I tried to order meals that fitted in with my diet. (Although I have to admit, justifying that lemon meringue pie was a tricky one... :P)

As long as I stick to my diet during the week then I'll eat what I like in the weekends, within reason.

But like Pseudonym, if I get invited out to dinner I'll eat whatever.

I don't want to let bodybuilding run my life so I put it in it's place now & then & remind it that it's a hobby. :D

I have cheat DAYS only on the odd occassion, perhaps a couple of times a months. Now cheat MEALS, thats a different story :grin: I often have cheat meals, if im being honest then probabley a few every week. If i was trying really hard to cut then i wouldnt have any cheat meals.

Refeeds are a totally different story though, and since your still eating clean food, a refeed day is nothing like a cheat day.

As I'm bulking it's more of a cheat day when I do cheat...

I generally find something I want to do and go out and bugger diet completly. Yesterday I went fishing for the day and took a shake out on the water with me but for the rest of the day I didn't really eat. I just forget about it when I'm involved in something that much.
