Leg Curls

at the start i much preferred seated curls for hams because i could barely feel anything on the lying one (weak/non existent mind muscle connection there). built up the connection with more slow incline walking and seated curls with very slow negative and now i much prefer the lying curl.

just judging by the feel of it, i'm hitting the full back of the leg overall better when i do lying curls. small variations in hip position/toes can make a big difference to the feel where as with the seated variation i dont get that same burn on the whole side of the leg.. i certainly could do with a better connection with the hams but im guessing part of it is also that this position is possibly mechanically inferior as compared to other positions.

my gym doesnt have the standing leg curl so never tried it but apparently that ones even better for hams as far as machines go

This may seem kinda basic but my 2 cents: I found the lying leg curl hopeless until a dude I was working with told me to just focus on keeping my abs contracted throughout (takes the back out of the equation) and always start the lift by squeezing the glutes. From there, going nice and slow (nothing jerky) and now I find it real good. \:D/
