Some People want to build there physique up to a point of being recognised as a bodybuilder. You don't have to compete to be a bodybuilder, that is a competitive bodybuilder. Bodybuilding can just be a hobby of someone's and they may not ever get on stage but they are still a bodybuilder.

That is why we all joined this forum to build a better body than we had before, weather that involves starting a broad thread like this guy, asking a specific question or private messaging ppl trying to find steroids. We all use it for the same reason in the beginning.

Don't think your better than the OP just because you want to achieve something different.

im 18 years old and i have been lifting with my older brother for about a year now. i train insane and i research as much as i can but i'm looking for new things that people believes gives them the best gains.

i am into being a bodybuilder because ever since i started lifting weights its became a passion for me like rugby and has pretty much taken over my life.

im wondering what are the main exercises you should do when working our back, chest and shoulders because there are some excerises out there that do f**k all.

Hah. Seeing danny was being himself on this post again. Bodybuilding is hard work mate. It requires alot of dedication.

Brave of you to post this on here, as stated above, this is the friendliest place to find onformation.

You wanted to know the main exercises for each muscle group.

Chest: Bench press(flat and incline), dumbell press(flat and incline), flyes(Flat and incline), Cable cross overs, dips, pull overs.

Legs:Squat, leg press, stiff leg deadlifts, hamstring curls, leg extensions and my personal favourite, lunges.

Back: Pull ups, lateral pull downs, t-bar row, deadlifts, bent over row, seated cable rows and one arm rows.

Biceps: Barbell curls(straight and EZ bar), dumbell curls, concentration curls, preacher curls, hammer curls and incline curls. And pleeeeeeaaaase, when doing curls, stay the f*ck away from the damn squat rack.

Triceps: Weighted dips, scull crushers, kick backs, cable press downs, close grip bench press and diamond push ups.

Shoulders: Shoulder press(dumbell and barbell), side laterals, front raises, rear delt raises, upright rows and shrugs.

Calves: Standing calf raises, seated calf raises, donkey calf raises

Abs: Cable crunches, reverse crunches, hanging leg raises, wieghted crunches and many more. Will take too long to go into detail on abs.

Hope that answers your question. These are all the basics. Try this book, The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Good luck with the bodybuilding.
