Brought "Mass-Peak" but it doesn't mix well?

Hey, I brought 4kg's of protein powder yesterday called mass peak, the company I think is called inner armour. Anyway I've tried mixing it with water/milk and even yogurt but it always mixes into a fine paste and it makes its texture is almost impossible to drink without dry reaching. Has anyone else brought this product and is having the same problem? if so what would you suggest I mix it with?

though i don't take 'em myself anymore and wouldn't recommend to others either (least cost effective & most lazy way to add the calories), if you must have 'em then :

* always use water.. milk just makes them way too thick and kind of goes against purpose of gainer (because it makes you feel bloated/full for longer you tend not to be able to eat as much as you need to for growth). don't worry about the taste, you will get used to it within a week.

* depends on the brand but for most gainers, a shaker is almost never going to mix right. use a blender but let the liquid settle for a little bit before drinking otherwise you end up drinking in a bunch of air bubbles which just bloat you right up

* if it's too thick, add more water (chilled is preferable) or ice a little at a time until the consistency/texture is ok for you to take in

* most importantly : unless you're desperate for a bunch of cals all at once, dont' try to be a hero and take in a 'full serving' in one go (usually upwards of 200grams of powder). instead split it up in to 2 or 3 parts and spread throughout the day (use either in between or to complement your other real food meals)

also welcome to the boards. because you're new here and talking about gainers, i'll start with the mandatory questions :pfft:

- do you know what your caloric intake requirements are? (in other words, do you know how much food you need to eat for your goals? - whether it be weight gain, maintenance or loss)

- are you counting how much calories you are getting in?

I guess I will just have to "harden up" maybe add a bit more water...the blender isn't a bad idea, thanks.

I've been going to the gym for a couple of years now, but I am only just realizing that consuming the right nutrients is essential ( I know it took me awhile...). Anyway no I am unaware of my calorie intake requirements and I am also not counting my calories, I am just consuming as much protein as I can at the moment.

ok man here is some basic info : content.php?id=162

and here is the calculator : content.php?id=186

You definitely want to count things up and make sure you are getting enough because "as much as I can" is likely not enough to get you the gains you want, in which case you are just wasting a lot of time and money with guesswork. It's a bit of effort to count things up but do it once every now and then and you'll be sweet (just to make sure you're on track with things)
