Bag of Mass Gainer in One Day.. Possible ?

So ah yea.. talking to a few boys at the gym tonight, with Crate Day having just been we are deciding on whether we should do our own "Mass Gainer Day"

The Wolf Pack has ON Serious Mass 5.4kg bag of Mass Gainer between 3 of us and it lasts a while but not that long. It has 1250 kcal per serve (we usually just have a half serving), 50g Protein, 250g Carbs and a variety of Vitamins and Minerals.

The question in would it be possible to consume an entire bag in one day ?

20000 kcal, 800g Protein, 4000g Carbs..

I'm am legit curious, I'm down to give it a go but just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on if it can actually be done.

well it does have like 4g of dietary fiber per serve so at least your bowels won't feel as shitty as if you'd taken down a bag of WPI or something. actually is there a fiber limit ? prob wouldn't want some epic level of constipation with this much crap in you either.

-> is it doable? yeah seems so but as said earlier, why???

fyi ; need like half a litre of water with each serving and its still relatively thick... 5.4kg bag = 16 servings so enjoy drinking 8 litres of this stuff lol

(imo - strong broscience but just watching out for your health man) sounds like a bad time for your kidneys, would definitely seek some sort of medical advice before attempting (get them to check the full list, stuff like creatine content prob wont' be huge concern but high daily dosages of some of them vitamins could also be cause for concern)

There's actually 4 people in the Wolfpack, but only 3 of us have the Mass Gainer cos the 4th guy's missus gave him two rules when he went to the gym with us, No Calloses, and No Gut :pfft:

Obvs Phaggot, thinking about Twilight.. Wolfpack off the Hangover was our inspiration, cept we get up to even more crazy sheeeiiitttt obviously.

Yea that's the kinda thing I was meaning, overload wise. I'm quite happy to drink a lot of liquid, but yea was thinking about all the other stuff that's in it, too much of some vitamins is bad isn't it ?

whats crate day ? also goodnight sweet kidneys. Seems like a really dumb idea try it and let us know how you go.

50/50 on it atm, actually probly more 60/40 wanting to do it.

Just talking and researching and the vitamins and minerals can actually be pretty toxic to the body, especially since would be taking in over 3000% of a RDI for some of them..

Inb4 when has a BB/PL ever listened to RDIs :pfft:

Yup, dunno too much about the others but I think Magnesium and Zinc are your prime suspects for kidney/heart problems and metal poisoning potential.

Interesting project.

It seems bizarre to be pondering "how hard is it to overdose on food?".

Looking at whole food sources might be of some comfort.

Zinc: oysters can contain up to 182mg per 100g serve. I've seen people eat way more than that. They lived.

Selenium: Brazil nuts 1917μg (2739% DV) per 100g.

So on and so forth.

RDI/RDA is just the required amount for the typical person to avoid deficiencies isn't it? Hang on here it is: "...(RDI), which is the average daily intake level of a particular nutrient that is sufficient to meet the requirements of nearly all healthy individuals in a particular life stage and gender group."

Not knowing any science at all, I'm gonna guess adequate liquids and fibre should be the concern.

It's probably a bit late in the day but I'll smash the Cytogainer I have sitting around and see how close I get to half-dying (under half full container I think). That's science right there.

Yeah was a story about some young guy that ate 10 or some one square meals and got pretty sick...

I think vitamin A is the one you have to worry about but prob not much in the mass gainer would be more the water soluble vitamins B and C and the mineral zinc and magnesium. Too much magnesium will give you the sh*ts (superdump250) and not sure about zinc. I personally think it would only have an impact if you took it over a period of time rather than one sitting. Could always buy 2 kg of WPC and mix with 3kg of waxy maze or maltodextrin.

You should try eat the man sandwich !!

Good luck with your powder consuming goals in 2012

5 shakes totalling 406g of powder this afternoon and I was ready for actual food. The flavour and consistency gets revolting fast (with cookies and cream Cytogainer anyway) so be sure to go for a flavour you're confident you can eat way past the point of actually wanting to.

Keen for before and after pics...
