muscle imbalance

One of my arms is slightly bigger than the other, both in the triceps and biceps. its not a massive difference-around 1.5cm but enough to make one sleeve slightly when the arm is flexed. Just wondering if anyone has any particular ways of bringing up the smaller arm. I'm doing Wendler's 5 3 1, with bodybuilding assistance if that makes any difference.

I wouldn't call that a muscle imbalance....

I think that will be the cause for most people last time I measured by arms one was bigger than the other by about 2 cm not to noticeable though.

It is likely one arm is doing more work than the other everyone has a dominant arm. I would use free weights that isolate each arm independently if you aren't all ready and avoid machines.

For example DB curls rather than Barbell curls.

Single arm machine curls rather than both arms at once etc...

Cant fix it bro - it will likely get worse. Your biceps are probably a slightly different shape due to not being identically attached on both sides. Some guys/gals are fortunate to be perfectly symetrical others have to work harder to thicken the muscle in order to hide it.

IMO grow them as big as you can - when the skinny arm is tight in your 3XXL t-shirt, no one will give a rats arse about the big one :wink:

yeah sweet, theres very little, if any, strength difference so may just be down to shape as the right peak is higher. no one else can really notice it and doubt theres an increased risk of injury so will just carry on as is. cheers guys

My arms are how you describe them.

My left arm is forever overtrained, it just can't physically keep up with the right. I've tried to balance them out, but due to its structure it's impossible to get them the same.

In my situation there is an increased risk of injury... I've been battling tricep tendonitis and shoulder problems on that side of my body for a while now. Training's still fun, but can be painful and I need to be very careful.
