Only for the spotter with my 5 forced reps and 3 extra eccentrics that I need to grow..

Yea, I have set of double loop and single tail ones, usually use my single tail ones as they are easier to get on the DBs ect, the double loop ones are great for BBs or machines though where there is room to move with your hands.

you can lift much more with straps and it gives you better form. lots of people fail form due to bad grip and stuff their back.

I get a way better workout from dead lifts with straps than without. I've done it for 15years

It's got nothing to do with form. The ppl who use straps all the time probably have more full body movement than those who don't because they are using momentum of their body to shift a much bigger weight.

thought id run a test, so i tried using double looped straps on some 235kg speed rack pulls below the knees.I did 1 rep and man i felt weak as f*ck...took an age to lock it out. took them off and peeled 2 reps faster than you could say whammy...and then afew more sets of 3 with same speed

w/o straps = more muscle recruitment

Maybe if you are using CrossFit weights you don't need straps. Technique changes markedly when you start thinking about your grip. Come and have a train with me and see how it works bro.

Mate do u strap ur KFC drumsticks when u eat them?

Lol I'm all about the breast bro. Leave the strap on boners to you.

In all seriousness, do you not rate straps for pulling movements? I see guys with failing grips and their rep range gets compromised. Not an issue for novices but once you are handling big weights you need to be able to forget about the grip and focus on pulling with your lats.

Plenty of guys who have been training for 15 years plus and they are still doing the same shit they were doing 15 years ago. Gym dumb is a term that could be used. :)

I don't think straps will give you better deadlift form. They will allow some people to lift more. But for beginners (not necessarily related to time in the gym) this won't be an issue.
