That's some heavy squatting good stuff. How come you walk to far out and not use the safety bars on your rack?

the concrete floor is uneven, thats the only spot in the shed where the rack is level and i have flat surface to place my feet.Ive only come close to missing once where I stumbled back but lets be real here,to a true powerlifter thats a joke weight. Its motivating to realise that :)

I realise i probably dont open up myself on the descent properly hence at times the poor depth.

Depth is a bit off, yep, not as bad as you sometimes see though :)

Tried heels? You sit back nicely, but it appears as though you have a fairly narrow stance? Middle of Smolov might be the wrong time to muck around with things (and don't let these thoughts muck up your workouts - try on lower weights!), but have you played around with a slightly wider stance?

Your chest also drops when you sit back (I used to (and still do to an extent) have this problem), causing the bar to move away from the centre where your power is - hard to control when you're tired, I know! But keep thinking of keeping the chest up and upper back tight  I found it wasn't an easy fix, and good morninged a LOT of squats up before it got much better! But working a lot on my all-over back strength helped to keep my posture more stable.

Keep us posted on how Smolov works out for you mate :D

Thanks Drizzt, your spot on as usual with your squat analysis :) , i need to do a bit more DIY to level the floor instead of extra steps. ,and i like to squat sort of narrow however the funny thing is when i get tired my default position is to get wider, however it feels weak.So that tells me my hamstring strength sucks.Ill definately be trying to get that up to par.

Ill just leave smolov for now and probably give it a proper go later on in the year,as i need to do those things regarding my upper body as you pointed out,and dont have the recovery abilities of a stallion like you guys.Ill keep squatting but in a more linear fashion as im still fairly new and i can still gain that way albeit slower.Smolov works as you well know but i need to be more organized in other areas to give it a really good go and have fun doing it.
