Sore wrists

Recently I have been waking up with extremely sore wrists. As first it was only one of my wrists it was clicking and felt tight, particularly hurt on pressing movements (bench, military etc).

2 days ago I woke up and now my other wrist is in the same situation. I have seen the doctor at the early stages when it wasn't so bad and it has progressed a lot in terms of pain. He just put me through some ROM exercises and told be to use a local anti-flam which doesn't seem to have helped.

Thinking about going to see the physio sometime next week I think. Was going to wait it out but only seems to be getting worse. It may be because i'm so depleted with my contest preparations i'm not so sure.

Has anyone else had this issue?

My wrists are rooted from heavy benches, OHP etc when dry and depleted pre comp.

I would have sore wrists for days after a normal bench session. I use Scheik Power wrist wraps on everything over 70% of 1RM and I don't have problems AT ALL anymore.

Look in the supplier directories for 'Raiselower' for details on where to buy them.

I have the same problem, i find forearm flexion exercises seem to strengthen the joint up. Yes bench day is the worst anything 100+ seems to root them.

Might have to try those straps

Even tricep extensions and skull crusher hurt like crazy. I think it's when ever I have a even the slightest twist in my wrist. Hoping it will work itself out.

perhaps try other tricep exercise to replace skull crushers like overhead cable tricpes extenions with a straight bar and see how it gose. That's one of the reasons I don't to skull crushers from when I have done them in the past I have notice my wrist are a bit sore but not to bad.Just shop around for some good wrist wraps and one's that you can afford to buy.
