NABBA versus NABBA-WFF... again

this is posted and first thing mentioned is if it's fake.

fake in the sense they are using the name nabba when they are not part of nabba/wff who is the official/original nabba.

so it's like a counterfeit nabba of lesser quality

Well interestingly the original Nabba in NZ was run by Jim Pitt and Marianne Poole and was internationally affiliated etc etc etc so essentially they are the long standing and original Nabba guys.

It's just another federation and option for competitors. Not sure why everyone hates on it.

Well my understanding from when it happened is that Joe Lopez who was one of the original Nabba big wigs had a falling out with the Nabba guys in the UK. Half of the guys stuck with him hence the philipines and nz being in line with what he was doing then. (he was like the south east asia guy). He retains use of the Nabba or they would sue his ass and make sure he couldn't use it. You know how petty these bodybuilding federation running types are... he he he

The main thing is it's more options for people to compete and what is good about both Nabba and Nabba wff in NZ is that they don't penalize guys for competing in other federations.

Yes it the subject has been done to death Psedo....however, NABBA (NAC) nz have no reason now to keep the name NABBA in New Zealand. They, Mr Jim Pitt and Mr Peter Hardwick are holding on to a name that has no relevance to the International association they can send their athletes to which is NAC. NZIFBB is IFBB affiliated, NABBA/WFF are NABBA and WFF affiliated and NABBA nz are NAC affiliated...see the odd one out?

There are two comps in Cebu.

Info from Marianne Poole, Secretary, NABBA:-

The Nabba International Universe Championships, 27th October, Cebu, Philippines, was cancelled.

However, the 2nd Phil-Asia International Bodybuilding Champs is on Sept 21st to 24th, Cebu, Philippines, and the NAC Universe is being held Nov 24th, Hamburg, Germany.

Nothing to do with or sanctioned by NABBA INTERNATIONAL. So rightfully cancelled.

Correct... the problem with bagging federations is that it heaps a lot of shit on people choosing one which someone else thinks is a bad choice. Apples and oranges. Who cares one way or the other.
