Gyms in Napier

Hey guys in Napier for a couple of weeks anyone know any cheap gyms good for strength training?

If you are a serious strength athlete there really is only one place - the Magpies Gym - private Strength Training facility for ITM Cup boys & some Academy athletes. You'd need to ring Grant Dearns (via HBRFU) to get in there. Highly recommended for any sports specific stuff (we trained Strongman / PLing there for a few years).

Otherwise I'd suggest seeing Jono Hall at N-Finite Gym, which is the old Sparta Gym. Tons of heavy weights and good machines. Also a great atmosphere with some big strong lads calling the place home. Reasonable rates too.

Bay City Gym is the next best probably, followed in the far distance by Shitty Fitness, Jetts etc. I haven't been into SNAP so cant comment on their set-up for strength training.

Nice one. I've been visiting N-Finite gym since swinging by Napier a few days ago and it looks good to me.

The guys there are cool and today I even had one of the PTs interrupt his workout to come over and give me a bunch of good advices when he saw my form breaking down. And there's a sauna \:D/
